Garnet

Garnet is an ideal water filter media. Garnet is a chemically inert and non-metallic mineral, which is commonly found in the natural environment. Garnet is well known for its hardness and durability. It has a high specific gravity as well as its chemical and abrasive resistance makes garnet an ideal filter media. This product occurs both in large sizes conducive to support beds, and in smaller sizes for cap beds and is dense enough to allow faster back flushing. Products meet or exceed the NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for Drinking Water System Components, as well as AWWA Standard B100-01.
